New Track: W.G.R.V

So it’s here finally! My new track, W.G.R.V which is dedicated to my Grandads’ William George and Ronald Victor.

This is the first time I’ve ever cracked the 3 minute mark with a song I have written so it’s quite a milestone for me. The song is purely instrumental and guitar focused, all drums and bass were played in by myself using Kontact 5 and East West Storm Drum 2.

The guitars used were my beloved Green Mean Machine Les Paul (she’s Gecko Green) and my Mexican Fender Strat. Both guitars were recorded straight into Logic X Pro using a Mark Of The Unicorn (MOTU) 8 Pre and I used the guitar amps and effects on Logic.

For mixing I used a number of Waves EQ plugins, Logics compressors and reverbs as well as iZotope Ozone 6 for mastering purposes.

I tried to get the drums as human as I could by altering velocities to suite the rhythms and hopefully this has come through.
